About Maria Rosales Gerpe, PhD
Maria Rosales Gerpe is a scientific writer with a research background in molecular virology and intrinsic immunology. Maria obtained her doctorate degree in Pathobiology under the advisement of Dr. Sarah Wootton at the University of Guelph, and a Master’s in Microbiology and Immunology under the supervision of Dr. Marc-André Langlois at the University of Ottawa. The need to communicate her research effectively to a wide audience ignited her passion for scientific writing and she has not stopped writing science since. Currently, she works for Rapid Novor, the world-leading antibody protein sequencing team, as a Scientific Writer. Maria devotes her spare time to communicating science to empower the public by making STEM topics more accessible.
